Tooth Extractions and Oral Surgery

It is our goal with every extraction to ensure our patients are comfortable and as relaxed as possible. We know that visits to the dentist can create anxiety, and extractions can create even greater anxiety.

For that reason, every person at Metropolitan Family Dental is dedicated to your comfort. Dr. Hassani’s patients describe her as caring, calming and concerned. She will use her skills as a dentist and her empathy for every patient to make this procedure go smoothly and quickly.

Our office can perform both simple tooth extractions, and oral surgery to remove wisdom teeth, or third molars.

Extraction Procedure

  1. First, your tooth will be x-rayed.
  2. Then the area will be thoroughly numbed.
  3. The area will be tested to ensure you don’t feel pain.
  4. The tooth will be rocked back and forth to loosen it.
  5. When it is loose, it will be lifted out.
Some teeth may need to be removed with oral surgery, such as wisdom teeth or another tooth with complicated roots. This (surgical extraction) is a bit more involved than a simple extraction (usually referring to teeth with a single root, or that has non-complicated root structure).

Dr. Hassani has pursued additional education specifically to elevate her tooth extraction skills. So you can be sure of superior care whenever you need an extraction.
